Played in Belgrade, the home side won by 3-2 (26-24, 21-25, 26-24, 23-25, 17-15), in 151 mintes of play. Here are the comments after the match:

"From the first day we changed line-ups and we let all the players on court. Everybody can step in and perform on the highest level. That is our key feature in this World League, I think. That was our main advantage tonight as well, and I can say that we are very satisfied with our game" – said Nikola Grbic, head coach of Serbia.

"Great match tonight. Higher level of play than in Novi Sad, as well. This is a sign of growing for the team, and I think we will peak in Rio at the Final 6" – said Mauro Berutto, Italy’s head coach.

"The most important thing is that we have won, and that we are inspired before the Final 6 in Rio. Great match, great victory for us" – said Dragan Stankovic, Serbia’s team captain.

"Great show tonight in Belgrade. We made a nice effort, and I am satisfied with our performance. We played much better than in Novi Sad. All together, this is what’s volleyball all about" – concluded Dragan Travica, Italy’s team captain.
