Novi Sad, Serbia, June 26, 2015 - Serbia's Marko Podrascanin said he was satisfied with tonight's result as Serbia defeated Italy 3-1 (25-23, 25-20, 25-27, 25-21) in Novi Sad.

"We beat our direct rivals, and I am very happy. The Italian team is well organized, they came with their best team, and it was not easy to match them. All the guys who played tonight made their contribution, and did well. We are on the right track, I think," said Nikola Grbic, head coach of Serbia.

"We wanted to compete, we played well in some moments, but we have lost sets by two points and that is what we have to work on. We are near, but not just quite there," said Mauro Berutto, head coach of Italy.

"The fans and us, we must be satisfied with this victory. We played very well. We made some unnecessary mistakes in the finish of the third set, but we showed in the fourth that we are a serious team, that knows how to deal with difficult situations," said Serbia’s Marko Podrascanin.

"After being two sets down, we did everything in our power to stay in the match and we managed to win the third. However, Serbia were better tonight and they deserved to win. We must work more on some segments of our game. Congratulations to Serbia," said Dragan Travica, Italy’s captain.
