Venezuela win first World League 2015 match

Cairo, Egypt, 21 June, 2015 – Venezuala defeated Kazakhstan 3-2 (25-16, 17-25, 25-19, 20-25, 15-9) to win their first FIVB Volleyball World League match of the year.

Venezuala pulled ahead in the fifth set thanks to a strong attack from Jhoser Rafael Contreras Rangel and Willner Rivas.

Willner Rivas led Venezuela with 17 points, while Alexandr Stolnikov led Kazakhstan with 22 points.

Kazakhstan and Venezuela are tied for third place in Pool H with three points. Kazakhstan’s only victory came against Venezuela.
