Venezuela v Egypt (June 14)· Venezuela and Egypt have never met in the World League.
· This will be the first ever World League meeting between a CSV side and a CAVB side.
· The CAVB have lost every first match against another federation. All first matches against another federation were played by Egypt.
Venezuela· Venezuela will partake in their seventh World League and their first since 2009.
· Venezuela's best result is a seventh place in 2005. There worst was in their last participation (16).
· They have lost their last 11 World League matches and were defeated in straight sets in their last four.
Egypt· Egypt will participate in their fifth World League and for the first time since 2010.
· Their best result is a 13th place in 2006, 2007 and 2008. In their only other participation, 2010, they finished in 14th place.
· Egypt have won only one of their last 11 matches in the World League. That only win was their latest match in the World League against Finland, a straight sets win.
· Egypt's oldest player is twice the age of Egypt's youngest player taking part in the 2015 World League. Ashraf Abouelhassan is 40 years old and Ahmed Shafik 20 years old.
