Turkey end Montenegro win streak

 

Team Turkey celebrates

Istanbul, Turkey, 20 June, 2015 – Turkey defeated Montenegro 3-2 (25-21, 23-25, 25-23, 23-25, 15-12) on Sunday to stop Montenegro’s FIVB Volleyball World League win streak at five matches.

Faik Samet Gunes won the match for Turkey with a powerful spike in the fifth set. Baturalp Burak Gungor led Turkey with 26 points, while Metin Toy added 17 points after being subbed in during the second set.

Milos Culafic had 22 points for Montenegro and Marko Bojic added 15 points.
Despite losing their first match today, Montenegro leads Pool F with 16 points. Turkey sits in second place with 13 points.
