Tunisia aim to confirm victory against Puerto Rico

 

Pool F: Head-to-head Tunisia v Puerto Rico (June 21)
· Last week, Tunisia beat Puerto Rico 3-1 in their first ever World League meeting.
· This was Tunisia's second ever win in the World League after a 3-2 win over Mexico in 2014.
· Tunisia's Marouen Garci scored a dashing 28 points in this match, equal most by a player in a single match in Group 3 alongside Kevin Martin Piñerua Urbina (VEN) in Venezuela's match against Spain.
· Tunisia's Bahri Messaoud will celebrate his 24th birthday on the day of the match.

· Tunisia recorded one win and two defeats in the opening weekend for Group 3 in the World League.
· They were beaten in straight sets by Montenegro and Turkey but won their third match against Puerto Rico.
· Tunisia can win back-to-back World League matches for the first time. They can also win two matches in a single edition for the first time after claiming only one victory in their debut appearance in 2014.
· Marouen Garci led the scoring for Tunisia with 46 points in their first three matches. Only Puerto Rico's Maurice Torres has scored as many points in Group F.

· Puerto Rico lost all of their matches in the opening weekend for Group 3 in the World League: 3-2 to Turkey, 3-0 to Montenegro and 3-1 to Tunisia.
· Puerto Rico have lost at least two sets in every single World League match they have played so far (21 matches).
· Maurice Torres led the scoring for Puerto Rico with 46 points in their first three matches. Only Tunisia's Marouen Garci has scored as many points in Group F.
