Bratislava, Slovakia, July 4, 2015 - Volleyball team of Montenegro will play for the gold in FIVB World League Group 3 Finals in Bratislava, Slovakia. The team from Balkan won in first semifinal against China in four sets (25-21, 25-21, 22-25, 25-15) and will play the final match on Sunday in the Aegon Arena against winner of Slovakia - Egypt. China will play for the bronze medal.
Montenegro started the match better. They served well and caused a lot of problems to China players in reception. Slobodan Boskan's team lead 10-5 at the beginning. But China slowly came back and levelled the score to 17 all when Yuan Zhi hit the ace. Anyway Montenegro found the rhythm again in finals moments of the set and won 25-21 the first one. Montenegro got their utmost in blocks (5-0) and aces as well (3-1).
Montenegro started fast in the second and thanks to great plays by their wing spikers lead 6-1. Former Asian champions came back in the second part of the set, minimized errors and lead 16-11. But Montenegro lead by captain Vojin Cacic pushed back and finally won the second set with the same score 25-21.
Third set was under the controll by China team (22-25), but Montenegro especially thanks to good service and blocking (14, 4 respectively) finally won the match in four sets and advanced in their first season in World League to Group 3 gold Final.
