Tepic, Mexico, June 13, 2015 – Slovakia defeated Mexico 3-0 in Pool G of the FIVB Volleyball World League at the Auditorio de la Gente on Saturday.

Slovakia coach Flavio Gulinelli: “We performed better against Mexico than China, which means I am not totally satisfied because some players encountered difficulties, specifically in blocking. We will enter tomorrow’s match against Greece with little advantage by winning in three sets. The players had better attitude and are improving.”

Slovakia captain Michal Masny: “We are satisfied with the win and doing it in straight sets gives us a chance to recover faster. The humidity here is intense, it is difficult to play in these conditions. Our next opponent is Greece and I am confident and I am confident that the team’s technical staff will formulate the best plan possible.”

Mexico coach Roberto Vilches: “The team has young players and that is why we have ups and downs. This is our opportunity to build up. This group of players only practised for a month and I have high expectations. There are some players missing here but they will be playing with us next weekend and hopefully our results will be better.”

Mexico captain Tomas Aguilera: “Slovakia’s game plan was better than ours. There is still tomorrow’s match and next weekend’s matches, so our position in the World League has not been determined yet. We must analyse our errors and work on correcting them. We also need to improve our attitude.”
