Egypt's coach Frigoni: "Our serve was our best skill"

Press conference after the match

Taraz, Kazakhstan, June 13, 2015 – Egypt took a straight-set win (25-18, 25-14, 25-21) against hosts Kazakhstan in Pool H of FIVB Volleyball World League in Taraz-Arena on Saturday.

Egypt coach Angiolino Frigoni: We were in a better condition than yesterday. I think we put a lot of pressure with the serve today, and we knew that could be our best skill. At certain moments, we had good options in block because we knew beforehand what they (Kazakhstan) could do. In the final set, we didn’t play a perfect match, but I am happy with the result. Today is important for us: We won, not with a fantastic match, but with a good match.

Kazakhstan coach Andrey Patrakov: Vorivodin (who was injured in the first set) was a key player but the injury damaged our play and our morale. We utilised our other players for today, as rotation option for our younger members.

Kazakhstan team captain Alexandr Stolnikov: We played well yesterday but today is different. We lacked the strength in attack and we just lack experience in general.
