Coach Angiolino Frigoni: This is a big result for Egypt

Angiolino Frigoni guided Egypt to lead Group 3

Bratislava, Slovakia, July 5, 2015 - Egypt on the top of the podium, rookie Montenegro just beside them. Two of the most surprising teams of the 2015 World League cliched the best two places in Group 3.

Montenegro's captain Vojin Cacic: "It was a very difficult match. Maybe we were too tired, because the game yesterday was though, we put everything against China. Egypt played very well and they deserved to win. I want to congratulate them. It was our first season in World League and we made it to the final, so we can be satisfied, but when you are so close, it hurts. I liked everything in Bratislava."

Montenegro's coach of Montenegro: "It is not easy when you lose in the final, but on the other side I feel happy and I am proud of my team, how well we played in the final in our first season in World League. Egypt is a very strong team and they deserved it, but we are sad because we were very close. We didn't serve as well as they did and we couldn't find a rhythm for our block-defence system. I think that was the reason of our loss today."

Egypt's coach Angiolino Frigoni: "We are very happy, this victory means a lot to Egypt. We didn't played good in reception and also our service was not going well. We had a lot of problems against them in position 4, but we won and I am proud of it. We had some problem, our setter was injured, but I had a lot of confidence in my second setter, I know that he can play well. Again, this is a big result for Egypt and important for our ranking. We came back to World League after lot of troubles and we made a result. We will play in second group next year and we will meet stronger teams. Now we will concentrate on African Championships in the middle of July. Our season just started."

Egypt's setter Abdallah Abdalsalam Abdallah Bekhit: "I want to thank all our players. It was very hard and a good match against a very good Montenegro team. We are very happy. I was injured in third set, I had problems with my quadriceps muscle. But the second setter came in and played good. Spectators were great and I want to thank very much Slovakia for this organisation. We have no time to celebrate this success, because we leave early back to Egypt."
