Tepic, China, June 12, 2015 – China posted a 3-2 win over Slovakia in the opening match in Pool G of the FIVB Volleyball World League at the Auditorio dela Gente on Friday.

China coach Xie Guochen: “My players are very young. This is their first international experience and I am pleased with their good attitude and adjustment in this come-from-behind victory. Slovakia played a very great match.”

China captain Jiao Shuai: “I do not see losing the first two sets as losses, but rather a great experience for us. We never thought of losing the match.

Slovakia coach Flavio Gulinelli: “We performed effectively in the first two sets but our mistakes cost us the match against China. My players worked hard and did a great job, I do not want to dismiss China’s win but we need to limit our margin of errors.”

Slovakia captain Michael Masny: “It was not an easy two sets against China, my team-mates worked hard. We could have won but our errors took the best of our game plan.”
