Australia still searching for their second win

 

Pool A: Australia - Serbia (5 July)

Head-to-Head
· Serbia have won all of their World League matches against Australia of which all came in 2015.
· The first two meetings in Novi Sad and Belgrade were won by Serbia in straight sets. On Saturday, Australia achieved to win their first set against Serbia in the competition (3-1) in Wantirna South.
· Thomas Edgar scored 28 points for Australia on Saturday but still ended on the losing side. He scored at least 20 points more than any other Australian player in this match.
· Serbia's Nikola Kovacevic (18 points), Sasa Starovic (18) and Uros Kovacevis (17) all reached double figures against Australia.

Australia
· Australia are eying to finish their 2015 World League campaign with a second win. They beat Italy in straight sets on 12 June.
· Thomas Edgar has scored 175 points, most of all Aussies, despite not playing in both matches against Serbia on 18 and 20 June.
· Edgar has reached double figure in each of his matches played. He scored 20+ points in five of his nine matches so far. The only other player in Group 1 reaching double digits in every appearance is Poland's Bartosz Kurek.

Serbia
· Serbia recorded a fifth consecutive win in the World League after beating Australia on Saturday.
· They can win six matches in a row in the World League for the first time since 2009.
· Serbia already qualified for the final round. It will be their eighth final round participation and their first since 2010. In 2010, they finished third overall.
· Serbia have won at least one set in each of their last 15 World League matches.
· Serbia are one defeat shy of their 100th in the World League.
