Buenos Aires, Argentina, April 10, 2015 – Argentine coach Julio Velasco has officialized a list of 25 players who will participate in the South American country's 2015 FIVB Volleyball World League campaign. Argentina will play in World League Group 2 and take on Bulgaria, Cuba and Canada in Pool C.
The players selected are: Nicolas Bruno, Javier Filardi, Maximiliano Chirivino, Sebastian Garrocq, Nicolas Uriarte, Cristian Poglajen, Facundo Conte, Demian González, Rodrigo Quiroga, Jose Luis Gonzalez, Sebastian Sole, Federico Martina, Federico Franetovich, Pablo Crer, Luciano De Cecco, Martin Ramos, Franco Lopez, Ezequiel Palacios, Maximiliano Gauna, Pablo Guzman, Sebastian Closter, Luciano Zornetta, Gonzalo Quiroga, Facundo Santucci, Rodrigo Villalba.
Argentina’s first two matches in the 2015 edition of the World League will be against Cuba on May 29 and 30. The two encounters will take place at the Polideportivo Gustavo Torito Rodriguez hall in Mendoza, Argentina. The light blue and whites will then play away to Canada on the following weekend.
Argentina will be participating in their sixth consecutive World League competition since 2009, finishing fourth in 2011.
