Julio Velasco starts work for new season

 

Argentina coach Julio Velasco will start work for the new season on April 6

Buenos Aires, Argentina, March 31, 2015 – Renowned coach Julio Velasco will begin training of the Argentine men’s team on April 6 to prepare the team for a demanding 2015 season.

Velasco and his coaching staff will start working with some players from the junior, senior and U23 teams, as well as a group of support players, as they await for the other members who are still wrapping up their season in overseas club leagues.

Federico Martina, Federico Franetovich, Cristian Poglajen, Ezequiel Palacios, Franco Lopez from the senior team; Pablo Kukartsev, Igancio Fernandez Gaston Fernandez from the junior and U23 teams; and Leonardo Plaza Gandini, Gustavo Vaca Alvarez, Rodrigo Palumbo, Ivan Postemsky, Francisco Lloveras, Juan Villaruel, Carlos Alaniz, Federico Gomez are the support players to be evaluated by the coaching staff.

Argentina will be busy this season playing in various international competitions, including the FIVB Volleyball World League, Pan American Games, South American Championship, FIVB Volleyball Men’s World Cup qualifier and even the World Cup itself to be held in Japan.

The rest of players will be summoned for the national team to join training as soon as they have finished their commitments to their respective club leagues.
