Turkey claim four-set victory over Tunisia

Istanbul, Turkey, June 20, 2015 - Turkey took down Tunisia in fours sets 3-1 (25-20, 25-22, 21-25, 25-18) on Saturday afternoon with Gokhan Gokgoz and Kadir Cin scoring 19 points apiece.

The teams were even over the opening stage of the game, but then Turkey raced off to a 15-12 lead and eventually pushed it up to 19-14. Tunisia did not find any way to stop the opposition led by 12 points scorer Kadir Cin and the set slipped away from the African team 25-20.

The second set saw an even start before Turkey registered a three points rally which separated them three points from the opponents 9-6. Tunisia, howvere, refused to give up and was trailing the score to get ahead at the second technical timeou 16-15. Turkey's offense then rallied to tie the set up at 20’s, before pulling away to lead 23-20 and to close the set out at 25-20.

Turkey's offensive stamina carried on into the third set which gave them an 7-3 advantage. But then Tunisia produced a three points run, including an ace from Omar Agrebi to cut the deficit to 7-6 and evetually to tie the score at 9-9. Turkey  tried to bounce back, but Tunisia responded well to every action and took the set 25-21. After a tough opening stage in the fourth set Turkey went up 13-10 and quickly found their rhythm to push it up  to 16-11. Good attacking skills allowed them to take the set point at 24-18 and finish the set off at 25-18.
