Pool F: Head-to-head
Turkey v Tunisia (June 13)· Turkey and Tunisia will meet for the third time in the World League.
· Turkey won both previous World League meetings with a 3-1 scoreline.
· These teams also met at the 1958 European Championship with Turkey winning in straight sets.
Turkey· Turkey will partake in their second World League after making their debut last year. They finished in 22nd place in 2014, second place in Group 3 behind Cuba.
· Turkey won five of their eight matches so far at the World League. They have by far the best winning percentage of all teams participating in Group 3 (62.5%). Spain follows with 37.6%.
· The Final Four of Group 3 was held in Turkey last year. Turkey beat Slovakia in the semifinal (3-0), but were beaten in the final by Cuba in five sets. The second week of play in Pool F will be held in Turkey.
Tunisia· Tunisia made their debut in the World League in 2014, finishing in 27th and last place.
· They have won only one of their six matches played in 2014, a 3-2 win over Mexico.
· That sole win in the competition came on home soil in Tunis. Tunisia eyeing their first World League win away from home as they will play their first three group matches in Montenegro and their last three in Turkey.
