Puerto Rico captain Hector Soto speaks after their last 2015 FIVB World League game

Istanbul, Turkey, June 21, 2015 - Puerto Rico finished their 2015 FIVB World League campaign with a 3-1 (29-27, 25-16, 18-25, 25-19) win over Tunisia.

Puerto Rico coach Javier Gaspar: We are happy that we won today. We had two good matches for each week but here in Istanbul we didn’t play very well against Turkey, they kept us out of rhythm offensively and in the Montenegro game we had a chance to turn the game around. Today’s match was the last match and the boys came out to fight which increased the team’s confidence and the level of our volleyball increased.

Puerto Rico captain Hector Soto: This was the match where everything worked for us where we had good serves, blocks and defence was very good. This was a very good match for us as we played complete and this is what we were working to achieve and if we played this level of volleyball throughout we would have been in a different ranking.

Tunisia coach Fethi Mkaouar: This is our second year in the World League and we were better than last year. We are gaining experience and it is good for us. We want to be better next year. We have the African Championship now. It is our main goal.

Tunisia captain Marouane M’Rabet: This year, we performed like last year. We won one game from six matches. Today we played very bad. Puerto Rico wanted the victory more than us. Now we must think about the future and African Championships. World League was a good experience for us.
