Slovakian players attend Cool Volley event in Bratislava
Bratislava, Slovakia, June 26, 2015 - Less than two weeks ahead of the FIVB Volleyball World League Group 3 Finals in Bratislava, the Slovakian national team attended a mini-volleyball tournament organised during an FIVB Cool Volley event in the Slovakian capital.
Young fans collected autographs from their idols and took pictures. Some also had a chance to play volleyball with players from the national team on special courts and there were a lot of smiles and a lot of positive energy for all to see during the event. The young players also had a chance to win prizes, including t-shirts, balls, and tickets to the Finals at the AEGON Arena.
"It was a very nice event. I was also young and had my idols, so we were glad to join young players from the city today and I hope we made them happy," said setter Branislav Skladany. The Slovakian players spent about one hour with fans and then traveled to the city of Puchov, where the team mentored by Italian Flavio Gulinelli will continue its preparations for the Finals.
Slovakia will take on Egypt in the semifinals on July 4. China and Montenegro are the two other teams participating in the Group 3 Finals in Slovakia.
