Podgorica, Montenegro, June 12, 2015 - Turkey took a 3-2 (25-18, 24-26, 25-20, 21-25, 15-10) win over Puerto Rico in a tournament in Montenegro. The European side were stunned twice in the second and fourth set by the Puerto Ricans, but raced in the decider to a 15-10 victory.

Turkey head coach Emanuele Zanini: It was very tough to play on one side of the court because of the sun. I'm happy that we started with victory, but we have to play better at the end of the sets. Both in the second and fourth set we gifted the victory to the opponents, but we have a young team and it is a process of learning.

Turkey captain Ulas Kiyak: It was a tough game and Puerto Rico surprised us in two sets. We are still happy for the victory and I know that we will be better in next game. We will grow up as competition progresses. We came here to win and we took first victory.

Puerto Rico captian Javier Soto: We made lot of mistakes, but another problem was lack of friendly matches. This was the first time this year that we played as a team. For the second match we have to look to avoid mistakes for sure and to be more prepared.

Puerto Rico coach Javier Gaspar: We fought hard and played pretty well, but we made too much errors. 57 mistakes is too much, we missed 19 serves, gave free points and that's why we lost. Besides that it was a good game and good start.
