Montenegro maintain winning streak with 3-0 over Tunisia

Marko Bojic led his team with 19 points

Istanbul, Turkey, June 19, 2015 - 19 points from Marko Bojic led Montenegro to a hard-fought 3-0 (25-23, 25-21, 27-25) victory over Tunisia on Friday.

Montenegro won the first three matches of their debut FIVB World League campaign and were looking to extend the streak in Istanbul. Tunisia, on the other hand, were determined to improve on their last week's performance, when they fell to Montenegro in straight sets. After a tight start to the match Tunisia managed to build a four-point lead before the second technical time-out. Montenegro responded quickly tying the game at 16-all. Marko Bojic, who scored eight points in the first set, led his team to a narrow victory, 25-23.

The second set started well for Montenegro as they won the first three points. The African side quickly made things even again at 9-all. From then on neither team were able to build a healthy advantage, but a great ace from Bojic followed by a successful Montenegrin block allowed them to close out the set at 25-21.

The third set started with Tunisia taking a 6-2 lead, but it was once again Bojic who inspired his team, as his blocking helped Montenegro tie things up at 6-all. Much like in the second set, neither side were able to break away in the third. More powerful attack from Bojic proved crucial as his team prevailed in an exciting finish, winning 27-25.
