Montenegrin players receive ambassadorial support

Montenegro will defend their place at the top of Pool F this weekend

Istanbul, Turkey, June 18, 2015 - Montenegro play their FIVB Volleyball World League Pool F matches in Istanbul this weekend, where Montenegrin Ambassador Mr Branko Milic encouraged coach Slobodan Boskan's players to "do what they did in Podgorica", where the team successively defeated Tunisia, Puerto Rico and Turkey to win their first three matches in the competition.

Mr Milic was accompanied by Mr Bedri Gul and Dr Akkan Suver, both prominent members of the Montenegrin population in Turkey - Dr Suver is Montenegro's Honorary Consul in Istanbul since 2008 and promised his country would not go without support this weekend.

Montenegro Volleyball Federation General Secretary Ivan Boskovic thanked Mr Milic for his support: "On behalf of the Volleyball Federation of Montenegro, on behalf of our team, but also in my own name, I wish to express my appreciation to Mr Branko Milic, who has allocated time to come and visit us in Istanbul. Very important days are ahead of us with this second World League tournament. I would also like to thank Mr Gul and Dr Suver for their visit and kind words. It was a great honour to see them and their support means a lot to us at this moment."
