Kazakhstan v Venezuela (June 12)· These teams have never met in the World League as Kazakhstan are making their debut.
· Venezuela have played eight matches against AVC sides in the World League. They lost the first three but won the last five.
· This will be Kazakhstan's first ever World League match. In the history of the tournament, 11 teams have won their first meeting. Last year, Belgium, Slovakia and Mexico won their first matches as debutants.
Kazakhstan· Kazakhstan is one of two teams making their debut in the World League alongside Montenegro.
· Kazakhstan will be hosting the first week of Pool H in Taraz.
· Last year's debutants Belgium, Mexico, Slovakia, Tunisia and Turkey all won at least one match on home soil.
Venezuela· Venezuela will partake in their seventh World League and their first since 2009.
· Venezuela's best result is a seventh place in 2005. There worst was in their last participation (16).
· They have lost their last 11 World League matches and were defeated in straight sets in their last four.
