Consistent Egypt defeat Venezuela

 

Taraz, Kazakhstan, June 14, 2015 - Egypt defeated Venezuela 3-0 (25-22, 25-22, 25-17) showing consistent performance while Venezuelan players’ did not alter their rivals’ domination.

Venezuela started well in the first set, leading 8-5 at the first technical timeout after a Kervin Martin Piñerua Urbina's kill from the wing before a fight back from Egypt saw them in front at 16-13. The Egyptians were able to hold this lead with very consistent play to win the set 25-22.

Egypt continued their momentum into the second set, leading 8-6 at the first technical time-out. Venezuela had no answers to a series of attacks from Badawy Mohamed Moneim and quickly found themselves trailing 12-16. Egypt continued to play strong and eventually took the set 25-22.

The third set saw Egypt continue their good play, leading for the entirety of the set. Team could rally and quickly expanded the advantage to 16-7. The game remainded under the control of the team Egypt until the last point which marked a remarkable 25-17 win in their favour.
