Thessaloniki, Greece, June 20, 2015 - China extended their winning streak by beating Mexico 3-1 (25-11, 25-23, 18-25, 25-15) in Pool G of the FIVB World League.
China coach Xie Guochen: We started well but after the first set we lost our concentration and that helped Mexico to win the third set, but fortunately we came back and performed really well in the fourth set. Tomorrow we have a very difficult match against Greece. I think it will be a similar match like the one we played in Mexico but now Greece has Tzourits who is a very good player.
China captain Jiao Shuai: We had a lot of ups and downs during the match and I’m only satisfied with the result. Tomorrow against Greece I will we will play our best game.
Mexico coach Roberto Vilches: I’m very satisfied with the performance of my team in today’s match. We are here trying to make our goal, which is to prepare ourselves in view of the upcoming PanAmerican Games. We played against a very tough opponent and I’m very happy with my boys not only because we won one set but also because they are playing better and better.
