Espoo, Finland, June 27, 2015 – Netherlands prevailed in the five-setter against Finland in Pool E of the FIVB Volleyball World League at the Barona Areena on Saturday.

Finland coach Tuomas Sammelvuo: “I am happy about the way we were fighting today. It feels very hard to lose this kind of a game. We needed to win this match. This gave us a lot of confidence for the next weekend against Portugal.”

Finland captain Antti Siltala: ”We improved a lot from yesterday’s match. Elviss Krastins played an incredible match. He has worked hard and now he got the chance to show what he can do. Now we must stop losing matches and win in Portugal.”

Netherlands coach Gido Vermeulen: ”Finnish team did a really good job today. Their setter Eemi Tervaportti played very well and we had big problems with our blocking. I am happy that we have a wide selection of players and we could make good changes during the game.”

Netherlands captain Nimir Abdel-Aziz: ”Finland put hard pressure on us with good serves. We played well after we had lost two sets and I am really happy about that.”
