Espoo, Finland, June 26, 2015 – The Netherlands were at their best for two sets and Finland struggled with their sideout attacks. In the third set, both teams put up a good fight, but after three set balls Finland had to concede defeat 3-0 (25-15, 25-20, 28-26).

The Netherlands went into their FIVB Volleyball World League Pool E match away to Finland tonight having won seven of their eight matches against the Finns in this competition. The Dutch had also defeated Finland twice in Week 6 of this season's competition, 3-0 and 3-1.

The Dutch rapidly took a five-point lead in the first set, leading 9-4, then 12-5 and 15-7. Despite a second Technical Timeout at 16-7, Finland were unable to break coach Gido Vermeulen's team's forward momentum. The set ended at 25-15.
