Holubec thanks fans for their support

The Czechs take on Korea in Liberec

June 26, Liberec, Czech Republic - The Czech national team are not underestimating Korea and are preparing for two challenging FIVB Volleyball World League matches at the Home Credit Arena in Liberec.

The Czech players arrived in Liberec on Monday, where they have been training ahead of this weekend's matches. "Korea are known for their skill and not making many errors. Their performance is supported by great enthusiasm," said Czech captain Ales Holubec.

"Our aim for this season in the World League has been the second place in the group at worst, so we still have something to play for. We are motivated to please our fans and get victories against strong opposition," he added.

The Czech players were pleased with the great atmosphere at the two matches against France last week in Ceske Budejovice. The crowded hall was having fun, even if the result did not end in the Czech Republic's favour. "I hope the atmosphere gets almost as good as it was in Ceske Budejovice and we get some points in the World League Group D table. Many thanks to our great home supporters," said Holubec.
