Cuba vow to bounce back in next match with Bulgaria

Rolando Cepeda led Cuban attack against Bulgaria

Havana, Cuba, June 5, 2015 – Bulgaria overwhelmed the Cubans in their home soil with a 3-1 triumph, but the Cubans have promised a better performance in their next match in Pool C of the FIVB Volleyball World League at the Ciudad Deportiva Coliseum on Friday.

Bulgaria coach Plamen Konstantinov: “We relaxed and that cost us the third set. There is nothing easy with the Cuban team. They are young but very gifted.”

Cuba coach Rodolfo Sanchez: “I am not happy at all. My boys were nervous, the key players seemed lost at the beginning, but they improved as the match went on. We will polish some details and tomorrow we will fight for victory in front of our fans.”

Cuba captain Rolando Abreu Cepeda: “Many of us fell to the pressure of playing here, but we all improved as the match progressed. We lost tonight, but the story will be different tomorrow."
