Havana, Cuba, June 19, 2015 – Canada edged Cuba 3-1 in Pool C of the FIVB Volleyball World League at the Ciudad Deportiva Coliseum on Friday.
Canada captain Frederic Winters: “We struggled after the first set because we had lack of concentration but we must made some adjustments in the lineup that got us back in the game. Still, we weren’t as good as we should be, but it was enough to defeat Cuba.”
Cuba captain Rolando Cepeda: “We played a little better tonight but we lost confidence in the end, and the Canadians were flawless. Their serve hurt us. Anyway, I think we were aggressive. We must get better and better for us and for our fans.”
