• Bulgaria have won four of their last five World League matches played in Varna.

Belgium

• Last season, Belgium finished in 11th place on their World League debut. They lost against France in the Final Four semifinals (Group 2), before defeating Netherlands in straight sets in the third-place match.
• Belgium have won six of their last seven World League matches on foreign soil.
• Only France have won more World League matches this season (12) than Belgium (10).
