Argentina are training in Havana ahead of their FIVB Volleyball World League Pool C encounter with Cuba

Havana, Cuba, June 10, 2015 - Argentina are training in Havana for their matches against Cuba in Pool C of the FIVB Volleyball World League, which will be held next Friday and Saturday at the Ciudad Deportiva Coliseum.

The Albiceleste squad arrived on Monday with their full team. They have been getting acquainted with Havana’s Coliseum, a venue which traditionally attracts very enthusiastic fans.

Argentina captain Demian Gonzalez has warned his team have arrived with a winning spirit like the one on show in Halifax last weekend, where they bounced back to defeat Canada.

Cuba and Argentina will meet for the sixteenth and seventeenth times in the World League. The Caribbean team has suffered only three defeats.

Both teams have already met twice in this year's edition of the competition. Argentina won the first match in straight sets, while Cuba won the second meeting in five sets. So far, that has been the only victory for Cuba in this year’s World League.

Argentina, on the other hand, have won two and lost two matches in this year's competition.
