Despite loss to USA, France are still the team to beat

Head-to-head
· This will be the 10th World League match between France and Poland. France just have the upper hand: five wins to four.
· France won their two most recent encounters with Poland in the World League: 3-2 in two matches in the 2013 Intercontinental Rounds.
· When it comes to meetings in the World League Final Round Poland are unbeaten in three matches. Poland beat France 3-2 in 2001 and 2007 and won in straight sets in 2002.

France
· France suffered their first loss in the 2015 World League as United States beat them 3-1 on Friday (W15-L1). This winning streak of 15 matches was their longest ever in the World League. 
· Until Friday, France were the only unbeaten team left in the 2015 World League.
· France have now conceded four sets in their two last WL matches. In their 14 matches prior in 2015, they conceded five.
· France are seeking their first World League silverware since 2006, when they lost 3-2 against Brazil in the gold medal match.
· Kevin Le Roux and United States' David Smith scored a match-high four block points in their match on Friday.

Poland
· Poland won the World League in 2012 and can join United States (2 gold medals), Russia (3), Italy (8) and Brazil (9) as the only teams to have won the tournament on multiple occasions.
· Apart from winning the tournament in 2012, they also took a bronze medal in 2011.
· Poland are guaranteed their fifth Top-4 finish in the competition.
· Poland lost 3-2 to Serbia on Friday. Of their last six World League five-setters, they have now won three and lost three.
· Bartosz Kurek was Poland's leading scorer against Serbia with 24 points, more than double that of second-best Michal Kubiak (11).
