Japan coach Nambu praises his winning strategy

Suwon, Korea, June 13, 2015 - Japan prevailed over Korea with 3-1 (25-20, 20-25, 25-21, 25-19). Japan claimed their second victory in Pool D while Korea is still at the bottom.

Korea coach Moon Yong-Kwan: Japan has great basic skills and I ordered strong service. But we made too many errors and Japan’s concentration was nice. Korea's players’ condition was excellent but they felt too much burdensome because they were defeated by Japan in 2014 Asian Games. I feel responsibility about the defeat today.

Korea Captain Shin Yung-Suk: I expected that today’s match won’t be easy and it went very hard. Our blocking, service and organization ability are behind Japan. Mental pressure was also one of the causes of our defeat.

Japan coach Masashi Nambu: Japan players are not that tall as Korean one and my strategy was to focus on service and shaking down the Korea’s reception. The strategy worked well. Korea however made lots of errors and we are lucky.

Japan captain Kunihiro Shimizu: I thought Korea is a strong team and the showed it on the court. I am very happy to win over a strong team.
