Czechs seek to break longest losing streak

 

Head-to-head

• Earlier this season, the teams split the series in Korea. The Czechs won 3-2 on 6 June and the home team won 3-1 on 7 June.
• Four of their six World League encounters have been decided in five sets, with Czech Republic winning on all four of those occasions, including one of their meetings this year.
• Korea have won the other two of their six World League matches against Czech Republic.
• Jan Stokr (CZE) scored 25 points on 6 June, while Seo Jae-Duck (KOR) had 25 points on 7 June.

• Czech Republic have lost their last five matches in the World League. Their last victory came against this week's opponents Korea (3-2). 
• They are currently suffering their longest losing streak ever in the World League.

Korea Republic

• Korea Republic can no longer qualify for the Final Four.
• Korea have not won a set in their last two World League matches. They have not been shut out in three in a row since 2011, when they lost four in a row without winning a single set. 
• Seo Jae-Duck racked up 21 spikes against Czech Republic earlier this tournament. This is still a team high this season.
