Head-to-Head
• Netherlands and Belgium have met only once in the World League.
• Belgium beat Netherlands 3-0 in the small final of Group 2 of the 2014 World League and claimed third place in Group 2.
• This was the first meeting between both teams at the World League, European Championships, World Championships and Olympic Games since 1987. Back then, Netherlands won in five sets at the ECh.
• Jelte Maan (NED) plays at Belgium club Noliko Maaseik and Daan van Haarlem (NED) at Prefaxis Menen. 
• Yannick van Harskamp (NED), Gijs Jorna (NED), Bas van Bemmelen (NED) and Thomas Koelewijn (NED) all play in Antwerp.

Netherlands
• Netherlands won their first two matches of their 2015 World League campaign. It is the first time since 2010 that Holland are off to a winning start like this. In that year, they won their third match, however lost their fourth.
• The last defeat Holland suffered in the WL was in last year's Small Final, against current opponents Belgium.
• Netherlands have won nine of their last 12 World League matches played on home soil.
• Since their return to the World League in 2013, Holland have built a record of 18 wins and eight defeats. 

Belgium
• Belgium have won their last five World League matches, and also each of their four this season.
• So far, Belgium have only faced Finland in this season's World League.
• Belgium's five successive wins in the World League are already a team record in the competition.
• The last team to defeat Belgium in the World League were France.
