Jan Stokr spikes Czech Republic past Korea

Liberec, Czech Republic, 27 June, 2015 – Thanks to a
dominating performance from Jan Stokr, Czech Republic defeated Korea 3-1
(30-28, 25-18, 18-25, 25-21) in Pool D of the FIVB World League on Saturday. Czech
Republic has now defeated Korea six of eight times in World League competition.

Stokr looked unstoppable on the attack, scoring 27 of his 29
points off of spikes. Petr Michalek added 12 points for Czech Republic.
Myung-Geun Song led Korea with 18 points. At the net, Korea’s Yung-Suk Shin won
six block points, while Filip Habr scored five block points for Czech Republic.

This match was played for pride, as neither team can qualify
for the Final Four. Czech Republic is in third place in Pool D, while Korea is
in fourth place.
