Havana, Cuba, June 6, 2015 – Bulgaria completed two victories after their 3-1 triumph over hosts Cuba in an intense Pool C of the FIVB Volleyball World League at the Ciudad Deportiva Coliseum on Saturday.

Bulgaria coach Plamen Konstantinov: “It was a very intense match, any team could win it, but we were more focused and kept our heads cool and maybe that is why we prevailed.”

Cuba coach Rodolfo Sanchez: “It is in these kind of matches that you measure how professional a team is. They were focused and we were still nervous. That’s how victory slipped away. Definitely, my boys need more high-level confrontations like this to get better. We can’t afford to make mistakes at key moments.”

Cuba captain Rolando Abreu Cepeda: “We feel bad because we wanted to please our fans with a victory. The crowd was incredible. They supported us until the end and that is something inspiring. I can only say that we fought all the time every time we enter the court. That is our spirit so far and that is how we will face our future rivals.”
