Canada need one win to advance to Final Four

• Argentina beat Canada 3-2 on 6 June after having lost 3-0 the day before.
• Both teams had won two of their four previous encounters in the World League, all in 2000.
• Three of their six matches have been decided in five sets, with Argentina winning the last five-setter.
• Canada's Gavin Schmitt scored 39 points combined in this year's two clashes with Argentina.
• Nicolas Bruno (30 points) was Argentina's top scorer in these two encounters.

Argentina

• Argentina have alternated wins and losses in their last six World League matches.
• In each of their previous four competition weekends this season, they have picked up a victory and a defeat.
• The last time they won twice in one weekend was against Germany in 2014 and the last time they lost twice was against France in the opening weekend of that season.
• Argentina have won their last three matches in Buenos Aires. 

Canada

• Canada will qualify for the next round if they win at least one match this weekend against Argentina.
• Canada have won at least two sets in their last 10 World League matches. They have won six and lost four matches. 
• Canada have won already 26 sets this World League, most of all teams in the competition. 
• Their 22 table points so far are the second highest among all teams in the competition. Only France (24) have more. 
• Canada have won already six World League matches, as many as last season and their second most of all time. They now only chase their total from 2013, when they won nine World League matches.
