World League Final: Serbia have the history, France the form

Head-to-head
· Serbia (including Yugoslavia and Serbia & Montenegro) and France will meet for the 20th time in the World League. Serbia have won 12 times, France seven. 
· These teams have never met before in the World League Final, but have played three matches against each other in the Final Round. In 2001, France beat Serbia (then Yugoslavia) 3-2 and in 2002 (as Yugoslavia, 3-0), and 2006 (as Serbia and Montenegro, 3-2) Serbia proved too strong.
· Serbia have won six of their last seven matches against France in the World League, but their most recent meeting in the 2010 Intercontinental Rounds ended in a 3-2 win for France. 
· Serbia or France will become the eighth team to win the World League, after Brazil, Italy, Russia, United States, Cuba, Netherlands and Poland.

Serbia
· Serbia, including Yugoslavia and Serbia & Montenegro, have made it to the World League final match for the fifth time. They failed to win the Gold Medal on each of the previous four occasions. 
· In 2003, 2005 and 2009, Brazil proved too strong. In 2008, it was the United States who beat them.  
· In total, Serbia (including its predecessors) have amassed seven medals at the World League (four silver, three bronze). No other team has claimed so many medals without winning the competition.
· Serbia lost both their opening match in the Intercontinental Rounds (3-2 against Brazil) and in the Final Round (3-2 against Italy). Nonetheless, they have made it to the final. 
· Aleksandar Atanasijevic is Serbia's leading scorer in the 2015 World League with 205 points. Srecko Lisinac follows with 140 points.

France
· France are seeking their first World League silverware since 2006, when they lost 3-2 against Brazil in the Gold-Medal Match.
· That Silver Medal in 2006 is their only podium finish in World League history so far.
· France have lost only one match in the 2015 World League, their 3-1 loss against United States on 17 July in the Final Round. 
· Antonin Rouzier is France's top scorer in the 2015 World League with 234 points.
· France started their 2015 campaign with 15 consecutive wins, their longest ever winning streak in the World League.
