Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, July 14, 2015 – The general team meeting has taken place ahead of the 2015 FIVB Volleyball World League Finals in the city that will host next year's Olympic Games, and there are six teams all ready and prepared to battle for the 2015 title.
Representatives from host country Brazil, France, Italy, Poland, Serbia and current World League champions United States were all welcomed to the 'Cidade Maravilhosa' by FIVB General Secretary Fernando Lima.
Clarifications about the challenge system and referral protocols were discussed, and the new LED net was introduced to the teams.
The action starts tomorrow at the Maracanazinho with the first of three days' of pool matches.
Nine-time champions Brazil get things started, hoping to make the home fans happy with a victory over Group 2 winners France - a repeat of the 2014 FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship semifinals - at 17.05 GMT, before Serbia face Italy in the second match.
