Nine-time champions Brazil recorded another victory against Serbia in 2015 FIVB World League, beating the Europeans 3-1 (25-18, 25-20, 19-25 e 25-22) this Sunday on Mineirinho Gymnasium. The result was important for captain Murilo Endres.

“It was a good first week for us”, Endres said. “Today the team played better than yesterday and it was important because we were able to relay the players. Our setter William Arjona and our opposite spiker Wallace are used to play together in their club team and their mesh was decisive”.

Roberley Leonaldo, head coach of Brazil added: “Serbia has really good middle blockers and we had some difficulties to hold them. However, I have to congratulate our players because we made two good games this week. Now we have to keep improving in the next matches”.

Dragan Stankovic, team captain of Serbia said: “We did not play well in the first two sets. After the third set we had our chances, but Brazil played really well. We have only three weeks practicing together as a team. I believe that we will improve a lot the next matches”.

Nikola Grbic, head coach of Serbia, stated: “We have the wrong approach at the beginning of the game. We only started to play better in the third set. We have to improve a lot physically, technically and mentally for the next games."
