Iran beat Czech Republic again in World League warm-up

 

Iran captain Saeid Marouf said beating the Czech Republic was a mental boost for his team

 Lausanne, Switzerland, May 23, 2015 – Iran beat the Czech Republic 3-0 (25-23, 25-19, 32-30) on Saturday night in a warm-up for the 2015 FIVB World League.

Iran also defeated their Czech hosts 3-0 on Friday as they prepare to face the United States in the World League in Los Angeles on May 30 and 31.

Iran has been drawn in Pool B along with Olympic champions Russia, World Champions Poland and World League titleholders the United States.

Iran played five warm-up matches – against Finland and the Czech Republic – in preparation for the World League.

“Against Finland, we identified our strengths and weaknesses and in the two games against the Czech Republic we corrected our mistakes,” Iran captain Saeid Marouf said. “Winning against the Czech Republic was good for us mentally.”
