Brazil won the battle at the net. The Brazilians scored eight points off of blocks, compared to one point for Italy.
Evandro M. Guerra led Brazil with 20 points, while Ivan Zaytsev led Italy with 11 points.
With the win, Brazil remains atop Pool A with 18 points. Italy is in second place with 13 points.
