Korea, Czech Republic now playing for pride

Head-to-head
· Following yesterday's 3-2 win over Korea, Czech Republic are on track to equal last year's World League result against Korea of three wins and one defeat. They are currently on two wins from three matches against Korea.
· Five of their seven WL encounters have now been decided in five sets, with Czech Republic winning on all five of those occasions, including two of their meetings this year.
· Czech Republic have now beaten Korea (5 of 7 times) and Japan (5 of 6 times) most often in World League competition.

Czech Republic
· Czech Republic can no longer qualify for the Final Four.
· Czech Republic ended a five-match losing streak in World League competition by beating Korea 3-2 last Friday. It marked their first victory since 6 June when they also beat Korea 3-2. 
· Since 2014 Czech Republic have now won six of their nine World League matches against AVC opposition.

Korea Republic
· Korea Republic can no longer qualify for the Final Four.
· Korea have now won a total of seven sets in their three World League matches against Czech Republic this season, but have managed to win only one of these three matches. 
· Yesterday (June 26th) Seo Jae-Duck racked up 22 spikes against Czech Republic a team high for this World League season.
· Myung-Geun Song has scored a total of 157 points for Korea this season (142 spikes - 9 blocks - 6 serves).
