Brazil aim for fifth straight World League win in Cuiabá

• Italy won their first encounter this year 3-2, before Brazil hit back and won 3-0 on 21 June.
• The two teams have met 31 times in the World League, with Brazil leading the head-to-head 16-15.
• The 3-2 defeat was Brazil's only loss in their last five WL matches against Italy.
• Wallace De Souza and Ricardo Lucarelli Santos De Souza each scored 20 points and had 38 spike attempts in Brazil's 3-2 win against Italy.

• Brazil have won their last four matches in Cuiabá in the World League, including both against Serbia in this year's campaign.
• They can win four matches in a row for the second time this season following their first four matches.
• Those first four matches were also in Brazil. They can win five in a row at home for the first time since 2011 - 2013, when they won six successive WL matches in Brazil.
• The last nation to beat Brazil on home soil was Iran on 7 June 2014.
• Captain Bruno Mossa Rezende turns 29 years old on Thursday. He plays at Italian side Modena.

• Italy will play their 399th match at the World League.
• Italy have lost their last three World League matches and can lose four in a row for the first time since 2014, when they lost their last six Intercontinental round matches.
• They can lose back-to-back World League matches that went into a fifth set for the first time since 2010.
